Biography
David has practiced law in Atlanta for over thirty years. Following graduation from the University of Michigan School of Law, he moved to Athens, Georgia and taught contracts and commercial law at the University of Georgia Business School for three years prior to relocating to Atlanta to start a full time practice of law. He has been associated with Bovis, Kyle and Burch, LLC since 1998.
David grew up in southwestern Michigan. He earned a B.A. with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law and also holds an LL.M. in Taxation with Distinction from the Emory University Law School. He served for several years as an adjunct professor of law at Emory Law School where he taught business planning.
David is a transactional lawyer. His practice specialties are planning for start-up and small businesses and mergers, acquisitions and other business transactions. He has also had substantial experience in securities law and litigation, business taxation, and commercial and contract law.
David lives in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta with his wife, Chris, to whom he has been married for over 30 years. He is a member of Christ the King Cathedral and is reasonably fluent in Spanish.
