Biography
Scott Busby is a 1990 graduate of the Emory University School of Law. He was admitted to practice in the States of Florida and Georgia in 1990. He has been practicing with Bovis, Kyle & Burch, LLC, since 1992 and has been a member of the firm since 2000. He graduated with honors from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, where he enjoyed serving as the Student Body President. Scott also holds a Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from Georgia State University.
Scott practices in the fields of first and third-party insurance disputes, employment law, general commercial and estate litigation, and handles many litigation matters for the City of Alpharetta. He has appeared before the United States Supreme Court, the Federal 6th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal and many federal district courts.
On a personal note, Scott is a native of Atlanta, Georgia who attended The Westminster Schools. He enjoys focusing on his family with his wife of over 20 years, Dawn. A licensed attorney in her own right, Dawn has been laying down the law for their three children for several years. Scott is also very proud of his parents who both retired with 40 years of service as officers in The Salvation Army, completing their careers as the National Commanders for The Salvation Army for the United States of America.
Scott practices in the fields of Employment, Insurance Defense, Insurance Coverage, General Litigation, State and Local Government, Non-Profit, Premises Liability, Property Arson, and Trucking Litigation.
