Ebony joined Bovis, Kyle, Burch and Medlin, LLC in 2019 as a member of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation department. She concentrates her practice on the defense of employers and insurers in matters under Title 34 of the Georgia Workers’ Compensation Act. Prior to joining the firm, Ebony worked for a national labor and employment law firm where she represented employers in matters under Title VII and related statutes. Ebony has also represented employers in restrictive covenant and noncompetition matters.
Ebony graduated magna cum laude from the University of West Georgia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. She obtained her Juris Doctor with magna cum laude honors from Mercer University School of Law in 2018. Ebony was admitted to the Georgia bar the same year. While in law school, Ebony participated on moot court and mock trial teams, and worked as Managing Editor of the Southern Journal of Policy & Justice. She also practiced under the Third Year Practice Act, representing various indigent criminal defendants and a death row inmate in Habeas Corpus proceedings throughout the state.
Ebony was born and raised in downtown Atlanta, Georgia and currently resides in Midtown Atlanta. In her free time, she enjoys concerts, traveling abroad, and cheering on the Atlanta Falcons.
