Roy Xiao is an Associate with the firm’s general litigation and insurance coverage groups. He concentrates his practice on complex litigation, including the defense of insureds in commercial liability, personal injury, premises liability, and professional liability claims. Roy also handles insurance coverage analysis and litigation, including the litigation of declaratory judgment actions.

Roy earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2016. During law school, Roy served as Contributing Editor of the North Carolina Law Review and worked in the law school’s immigration law clinic, helping indigent clients obtain lawful status. Roy graduated from Virginia Tech magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in political science.

In his free time, Roy enjoys exploring the outdoors, sampling new cuisines, and experiencing live music.
