Steven L. Jones is an associate with the firm.  His practice focuses on local government; state government; commercial real estate; construction contracts and disputes; regulated industries/utility regulation with an emphasis on energy (electricity and natural gas); corporate law; and litigation related to the above practice areas. 

Steven represents local governments and agencies.  Steven also advises and represents real estate developers and builders in all business phases of commercial real estate, including land acquisition, land use and zoning, other entitlements, construction contracts and disputes, final sale and all related litigation as well as all corporate matters.  Additionally, he has significant experience practicing before the Georgia Public Service Commission and advising clients in business dealings with regulated utilities. 

Steven graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Marketing with an Emphasis in Professional Sales.  Thereafter, he attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law graduating, in 2016, magna cum laude (7/162).  Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Brainerd Currie Honor Society.  In law school, Steven was a member of the Mercer Law Review, a member of the Mercer Advocacy Council as a competitor and then coach of the Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Team, worked as Professor Dwight Davis’s Research Assistant and a Student Mentor, received the Faculty Legal Writing Award, the CALI Award of Excellence, was on the Dean’s list every semester and served for two (2) years as the treasurer of Phi Delta Phi, a national legal honor society. 

Steven grew up in unincorporated Henry County, Georgia and what is now Johns Creek, Georgia.  He, his wife and two sons live in Dunwoody.
