Anne-Marie Shipe is an Associate who specializes in labor and employment law and litigation. Prior to joining Bovis, Kyle & Burch, Anne-Marie was an Associate with Carpenter, Bennett & Morrissey, a large law firm in Newark, New Jersey. While at the firm, she handled mass commercial litigation and hotel franchise litigation, as well as general employment discrimination matters, for the firm’s Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation groups. She was also a speaker at the National Council on Education’s Seminar on the Family Medical Leave Act. Anne-Marie is admitted to practice in Georgia, New York, and New Jersey.
Anne-Marie received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2002 from Georgia State University College of Law. While in law school, Anne-Marie was Student Writing Editor of the Georgia State Law Review, a graduate research assistant, and the president of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Her article, “Skirting the Law: How Predatory Mortgage Lenders Are Destroying the American Dream,” was published in the Law Review’s Spring 2002 edition. She also assisted the Georgia Council on Aging in lobbying elder law issues during the 2001 Legislative session. Anne-Marie received her Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1991 from Drew University, and is an active member of the Drew University Alumni Committee.
