Jack Burch, Christina Craddock and Tim Burson to Present Seminar Topics at Surety & Fidelity Seminar

Jack Burch, Christina Craddock and Tim Burson will be among the featured speakers at the 23rd Annual Southern Surety & Fidelity Claims Conference, April 18-20, 2012 in Clearwater, Florida.  Christina is presenting with Capitol Insurance Company's Ron Wills and is addressing fraud and misrepresentation and the impact of such on bond claims.  Jack Burch is joined by Chubb & Sons Insurance Group's Christine Romeo and is discussing cutting edge strategies for bond claim professionals.  Tim Burson and Liberty Mutual's Judith Bufler will be speaking about the effect of Statutes of Descent and Distribution on commercial probate bonds for administrators and personal representatives.  The Southern Surety and Fidelity Claims Conference is an annual gathering of Surety Bond and Fidelity Claims Professionals and Attorneys from across the United States to discuss and review important developments and strategies used in responding to surety bond and fidelity insurance loss claims and issues.

Law of Probate Bonds slates Tim Burson for Two Chapters

Tim Burson has been tapped to prepare two chapters in the ABA’s scheduled 2011 publication of The Law of Probate Bonds (2nd Edition).  Sharron Sergeant of CNA Surety and Jeffrey M. Frank of the Chicago Albert Crafton firm are the editors of this book published by the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association.  Tim will be preparing a chapter addressing the liability of probate sureties for estate loans and another chapter addressing the liability of a probate surety for losses caused by the actions of a bond principal which occurred before the bond was issued.  In the first edition of the ABA’s Law of Probate Bonds, published in 2001, Tim prepared Chapter 10—“Penal Sum Issues Relating to Probate Bonds.”
