My nickname is “Jay”. I am a lifetime Georgia resident. I was born in Atlanta and raised in Barnesville. I graduated from the University of Georgia with an A.B.J. degree in 1984 and I graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1987. I have been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1987 and I have been a civil litigator for over 16 years. During these years, I have tried numerous cases in both federal and state courts in Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. My clients include Federal Express Corporation, Bituminous Casualty Corporation, and Lithonia Lighting, a division of Acuity. In my practice, I have extensive experience in primarily defending cases involving product liability, premises liability, automobile and trucking liability and E & O claims involving accounting, law and insurance agents. I also have experience in commercial and residential construction cases, Clean Water Act environmental cases and commercial and business litigation. In addition to litigating cases, I have handled several appeals with the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia and in the 4th and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

With regard to my personal life, I am married to my beautiful wife, Allison, and we are blessed with our young daughter, Madison. I enjoy golf, tennis, jogging, and I thoroughly relish participating in my Rotisserie and Boxscore Sports Fantasy Baseball Teams.
