Buddy is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on civil litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury litigation.  Buddy joined Bovis, Kyle, Burch & Medlin in 2024 as Senior Counsel. Buddy is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps,  earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2004 and received a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law in 2008. At Florida State, Buddy was a regular Dean’s List member, received several Book Awards, received the Sandra Barr Memorial Scholarship and was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy.

 

Buddy was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2008 and has since tried dozens of cases to verdict. Prior to joining the firm, Buddy was a Plaintiff’s attorney for nine years; eight of which was owning his own trial firm.  Buddy has also previously worked as a defense attorney at two of the largest defense firms in Georgia where he specialized in construction litigation, mass tort litigation, personal injury, and premises liability litigation. Buddy is admitted to practice law in all lower trial courts of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Georgia. Buddy has previously been admitted as “Pro Hac” counsel in State Courts in Florida and Delaware, as well as Federal District Court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

 

Buddy was named an “Attorney to Watch” in 2017 by Atlanta Attorney Magazine. Buddy has also been named a Super Lawyer in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 and a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2016, 2017 and 2018.  Outside of the practice of law, Buddy is a member First Baptist Church Roswell,  enjoys playing golf, following the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with his wife and children.
