Please welcome Camilla F. Deboard to the Bovis Kyle team.
Camilla joined the firm in October, as a partner, to lead the firm’s North Carolina office. Camilla focuses her practice on insurance defense, insurance coverage, employment law litigation (Title VII and discrimination claims, etc.) premises liability, civil rights defense (1983 claims and ADA Title III) and complex litigation in state and federal courts. She also works on arbitration matters, including underinsured and uninsured motorist arbitrations. Camilla previously coached the Elon Law School Mock Trial Team 2012-2014, and previously served as an Elon Law School Preceptor, mentoring first year law students. Camilla’s ability to manage complicated situations and litigation along with her attention to detail allows her to successfully assist clients in all aspects of a dispute in North Carolina, from pre-litigation to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
As a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Camilla holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a specialty in Public Relations and a minor in Social and Economic Justice. After her undergraduate studies, Camilla attended Elon University School of Law and graduated in 2010. While there, she was a member of the Elon Law Review.
North Carolina has been home to Camilla for almost her whole life. Camilla, her husband, Anthony, and their two children live in the Greensboro area but often find time to visit their extended family ‘across the pond’ in England. In Camilla’s spare time she enjoys reading, running, supporting her husband at his endurance sporting events and being with their children.
