Greg Veal Discusses Impairment of Suretyship, Preserving the Penal Sum.

On June 22, 2017, Greg Veal spoke at the 43rd annual meeting of the Surety Claims Institute, of which he is a director. His paper, co-written with Ed Dudley of Great American Insurance Company, was “‘Thus Far May You Come, But No Farther’: The Penal Sum and How Sureties Can Preserve It.” The conference was held at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, south of Pittsburgh, PA. Greg is chair of the Membership & Publicity Committee for the Institute and invites inquiries from those in the industry interested in becoming a member.
On April 20, 2017, Greg also spoke at the 28th annual meeting of the Southern Surety & Fidelity Claims Association. His paper was titled “Risky Business: Impairment of Suretyship and the Restatement” and was co-presented with Jimmy Sparks of International Fidelity Insurance Company. The conference was held in Nashville, TN.
