Bovis, Kyle, Burch & Medlin puts 13 attorneys on the Super Lawyer rolls

By February 24, 2017 News/Events/Seminars

The 2017 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars list was released last week, and Bovis, Kyle, Burch & Medlin put an impressive number of attorneys in both categories. Super Lawyers are attorneys over the age of 40 who qualify in the top 5% of their practice area in each state; Rising Stars are attorneys under 40 who qualify as the top 2.5% of their practice areas in each state.  The selection process is largely done by peer review, meaning the selections are made by fellow attorneys throughout the state by a vetting and voting process.

The following attorneys from the firm were named to the Super Lawyers lists:

Greg Veal and Jack Burch of the firm’s Construction Defect and Surety departments both were designated as Super Lawyers.  Newly minted partner David Harris from those departments was designated as a Rising Star.

Tim Burson of the firm’s Trusts and Estates department was designated as a Super Lawyer.

Steve Kyle of the firm’s Liability department was designated as a Super Lawyer.

Charles Medlin, Marilyn Bardie-Kapaun, and Erin Stone of the firm’s Family Law Department were designated as Super Lawyers, and partner Christina Gulas was designated as a Rising Star.

Partner Kim Jackson was designated as a Super Lawyer in the Professional Malpractice category, and was also named to the top 100 list in that category.

Benjamin Leonard and Greg Presmanes, both partners in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Department, were named Super Lawyers, and Workers’ Compensation partner Adam Grafton was designated as a Rising Star.
